With MOOOVE: a performance for one volume and two people curated by Calvi Brambilla and Partners, Dooor brings the concept of moving architecture into a new dimension.
A central volume, initially compact, is broken down into individual pieces of furniture with almost metaphysical forms—an armchair, a sofa, an office desk, a bed, a bookcase. The actors arrange these elements in the space, bringing a lived-in place to life.
Marking the rhythm are Dooor’s textile doors, clad in a bright green vinyl fabric that is mirrored in the chrome handles. With the help of sliding posts engineered by Dooor, the folding partitions join together to form angled configurations and define the different areas, replacing walls entirely and offering the possibility of restoring, in a few seconds, completely or partially open perspectives. Dooor’s room dividers thus activate an architecture that does not impose itself through definitive solutions, but evolves alongside people’s lives.
